The TKO style fish tacos were outstanding!! However, planning my visit here I didn't know this place only allowed ages 21+, I wish it had been better advertised online, and is the only reason I'm knocking a star off. We weren't able to enjoy our food in the restaurant with our infant. I would definitely take out food here again though!

Great place. Very welcoming staff, they are attentive, quick and courteous. Drinks are on point but whatever you do don't miss out on the mega Bloody Mary. It's amazing! Oh and the views are great from upstairs.

Very nice small restaurant just off of the main drag Mission Beach. They make an awesome bloody Mary for fending off the day-after doldrums. Their award winning tacos come in many styles and are a great choice for lunch if you want some local fare!

That time we stumbled on World-Class Award-winning baja fish tacos! Our bartender Hannah was so kind and gracious with our drink orders and put us on to quite literally the best taco I've ever had, no exaggeration. Try them for yourself.

Love this place. Nicest staff ever, they are very informed about the products in the store.Great sandwiches, I like the Crissy Field. Def check their speciality sandwiches because I've been pleasantly surprised with some of their creations.I come here for cheese and sandwiches on a weekly basis so glad it's in the neighborhood!Keep it up Sandbar Sports Grill! Really awesome food and drinks. The fish wrap was surprisingly a good portion and really tasty. Also the baja shrimp basket was better than the normal fried shrimp I get at other places. The watermelon margarita was also on point and refreshing. Only thing is service could be a bit faster and I know it's an open concept but could use more cooling since we were dying in the summer heat. Overall, thank you for the yummy meal!

Went on Tuesday night and got a 2$ deal for tacos. But not worth it. Taste was good. Value was ok too. Could recommend if short on cash.

Amazing tacos by the beach! We stopped by after Christmas to get a quick drink (decent selection of beer on tap) and shared the taco plate. We got one fish and one chicken in the TKO style, and OMG they were good, probably the tastiest tacos we ever had. And service was friendly and quick.

As a Texan, I take my tacos way too seriously. They. Do. It. Right! Choose your protein, choose your style, and order a margarita. My favorites are the street style carne asada and beach style fish tacos. The menu is reasonably priced (unlike many other places in the area), and the upstairs seating offers beautiful ocean views. Service can be slow, but the quality of the food and the appropriate pricing made up for that imo. I went twice in one week and will make this place a priority visit during every San Diego trip.

I've spent several months this year eating fish tacos all over San Diego, Los Angeles, and hundreds of tacos at places in-between, and the best I could come up with for "best fish taco" is at this "bros & hos" bar on Mission Beach.I assure you that this review is not a joke. And neither are the "TKO Baja Fish Tacos" at Sandbar. It was painful to write this, and I realize that declaring Sandbar's "TKO Baja Fish Taco" the best of all fish tacos I've had in Southern California totally undermines the credibility of every review I've posted in the past, and in the future. But it'd be worse for me to lie about this. If nothing else, this ought to be a call-to-action to San Diego's taquerias and mariscos loncheras: I need you all to step up your game.

Ate here for breakfast while we were on vacation not expecting much but turned out to be some of the best food we had! Staff was accommodating to us wanting to sit outside and were also very friendly. The food was made perfectly.

This place is a must....next to North Shore tacos, this place has GREAT fish tacos!

Positively delicious. Only criticism is that they only allow over 21. One way we got around that was to take out. So we ended up getting the food to go, even for those under 21. I’m so glad we did because everyone was raving about the food! The wait was pretty long but again, totally worth it.

Bloody Mary, Fish Tacos and service are awesome but the view on their patio, makes it outstanding.

I was told I could get tacos and hamburgers. That's what we got. A great hamburger, proper hamburger. My daughter had great tacos and a Dios equis. I had a Guinness. Sat outside, the sea breeze, the sun on my face. Good music. Friendly service. High chairs. Just relax.

We weren’t happy with our experience here, service was the poorest, waiting time was way too long (20mins) nobody came to our table, ignored us even after two attempts of talking to someone and they didn’t serve us at the end so we left without consuming anything which was sad since we were really looking forward to try their veggie burger. We left very hungry and upset about our experience. Wouldn’t come back here or recommend the place to anyone.

We had a fun stop at the Sandbar. They have a great selection of local beers, delicious fish tacos and a cool atmosphere.

Yummmmmm. I’m in SD at least once a year for work and this is our go to taco and shrimp stop. Ocean views, great food and good staff. I will continue to come back as much as I can!

It was amazing. Happy hour every night from 4-7 pm with $4 tacos and $8 22oz beer. The fish and shrimp tacos were awesome and the beer selection was huge and also great. I'll never eat a taco again without thinking about these tacos.

Finally get have some bar seen atmosphere at the beach. Nice place listen to the rules when he or she tell you.

Some really good tacos and burgers. Service was very attentive and pricing was decent for its location right across from Belmont park, near the ocean and coaster. Also, how bad can they be, they show all the Boise State games and have a rock, paper, scissors tournament?!?!

Food wasn’t very good but had a great view.

Tried their fish tacos at the SoCal taco fest last weekend. Clear winner out of 9 taco stands we’ve tried, and ruling out confounding variables such as hunger and amount of beer/ margs consumed. We went back to try all 3 taco styles. TKO was my favorite ( I mean cheese crusted tortillas!!), but all 3 were good. I even got their taco t shirt. 🌮🌮🌮 points for efficiency, ability to contain stuff without it falling all over your face, and tastiness!

Always one of my favorites. Great food, staff, drinks, and view! What more do you need at the beach? I never leave hungry or unhappy. 🤙✌🤙😎

Grabbed some tacos there on friday May 22nd and I have to say they were the worst tacos I have had in san diego. I had a fish, carnitas and chicken taco and all 3 were flavorless. The fish was way over cooked and chewy. The chicken had zero flavor. The carnitas had some flavor but was very very dry. I got them all "street style." I will not be getting tacos from there again. I'll stick to the "hole in the wall" type places from now on. Service was fine but after reading they were voted best tacos in san diego I expected more from them.
